Eskom installed Smart Meters in our estate last year and subsequently started encouraging the residents to move from conventional electricity to Prepaid. I obliged and moved to Prepaid, in the process they continued to bill me for conventional electricity.
I informed them of the double charging and they then put me off conventional billing and promised to refund me.
I have been following up on my refund for almost four months now and every time I follow up they ask for my banking details all over again. I'm starting to sense this is a delay tactic they use with the hope that one will eventually give up.
Upon following up today, the same script "There's no feedback yet, we have escalated your matter" is being thrown at my face
