POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

It has been 27 hours (1 night and a full day) without electricity, specifically in my house which I have a prepared meter and I pay.

However Eskom has failed me and my family since July 2016, back in July I would experience power failure once in a month but this has turned to be on a weekly basis.

I have called Eskom various times and based upon the conversation with the call center agents, they advise that the turnaround time is 3-4 hours however this did not happen because 2 nights have passed and Eskom has not delivered to their promise.

In one of the calls I requested to speak to a supervisor which is was done via a conference call but it seemed that the supervisor was not happy to help as she reprimanded the call center agent right there on the spot while I was on the line listening instead of getting help which I called for.

My request to the supervisor was that she calls me back with a solution to the power failure I am experiencing and their empty promises but in return the supervisor calls and advises that the technicians do not take calls after 8PM, I had logged a query on the 20/08/2016 at 18:56 and when I called back on the 21/08/2016 at 19:50 this was the feedback I received. Frustrated and disappointed I argued her response and she dropped the call while I was still speaking to her.

I question her actions:

1. How did she get that position of being a supervisor if she does not know the basics of telephone s****s in a work environment especially not hanging-up on a client?

2. I did not make use of any vulgar or inappropriate language, where does she get the right to drop the call without helping the client, because in the beginning of the call they ask “How can they help you?”

3. If the call center agents are not allowed to drop the calls on frustrated clients what makes this supervisor different?

I am very disappointed with the service provided by Eskom which might even jeopardize their business in future with other clients.

After all the money I spent calling Eskom, all I request is my power back up which I have been paying for and they should replace what so ever needs to be replaced in the Power box which is causing this power failure.
