No ELECTRICITY FOR MY MOTHER WITH DEMENTIA
It is uphaulling that eskom customer care consultant has made my old mother with dementia pay a non existent fine of R1000 to get her quiry to be attended to.
My mother with dementia has been without electricity at her house for the passed two months. Unfortunately the passed few times that I have tried to lay a quiry a meter number was required. Finally my mother could remember where she had kept the meter number. Unfortunately with the now the COVID19 situation all queries at eskom customer care centre are handled by a security guard who makes a call to a consultant for the queries. The security guard simply came back with an answer that we had to pay R1000 then the matter will be attended to in three to four days. To my disgust when I called eskom customer care a consultant by the name of musa just told me that the quiry can only be followed up after fourteen days because the eskom meter was tempered with. It is very disappointing to hear that consultants at eskom will lie about customers just so that customers quiries may never be attended to. I am just worried that it's only a matter of time that my mother will burn down the house with possibility of causing harm to herself due to mental illness using flame in the house while eskpm plays hide-n-seek about the matter
