NO ELECTRICITY FOR 2 DAYS - SO FAR!

On Tues 12th April 2016, Eskom started work to upgrade a transformer for six plots - Zandspruit Road, Farmall - near Fourways. On the morning of Wed 13th, Eskom turned off the electricity to install the new transformer and install new cables.Wed afternoon about 15:30, the contractor called Eskom to come and connect the system. As of 09:30 Thurs 14th, still have no electricity. *** Wed 13 April at about 19:20. Told that Eskom knocks off at 20:00 & basically tough if they don't get to us! *** Thurs 14 April at 08:00. They told me Zandspruit is a red flag area, I told them this is Zandspruit Road not Zandspruit Squatter Camp. They say they had again logged the fault but could not get hold of Lanseria. I escalated the complaint & then asked Supervisor Gloria why Eskom had totally compromised our security - no electricity for burglar alarms, etc. The workmanship on site is horrific. Paving removed and not properly replaced. The tarmac road has bulged where they dug under it, stormwater system compromised.. Pieces of cables lying everywhere. No proper compaction of back fill to trenches, etc. etc. Simply disgraceful.
