Negligence and don't care attitude of Eskom employees

An Eskom employee placed an eletricical pole in our homestead without permission or consultation to connect eletricity to a house across ours. The pole was dug and connected there, without consideration of the children or safety of other members. We have struggled to get them to remove it. At some point we were made to pay for their negligence to this date the eletrical pole has not been removed from our yard.

We have followed up a number times and each time, they promise to come remove it. Its the same story all the time. The period this has been going on is about a year now. This matter has to be escalated to Head Office as the Mthatha regional office has no leadership or no capability to do the work they are paid for. In cases where there are no eletricity, Eskom people take their own time to resolve matters in Mthatha. It is pathetic.
