Money Making Prepaid Meter System

Eskom's prepaid system needs to be reviewed immediately. I have learnt that I am not allowed to buy electricity more than once in a month otherwise I get charged at a higher rate. None of this was disclosed when Eskom installed the prepaid meter. When I called to inquire I was told that is how the system is set. In the last 3 transactions I made, this is how much I got: In May, R800=615Kwh; June, R1000=707Kwh (which lasted 25days) then later that month R1500=690Kwh. So for R1500 I got the same units as I did for R800? That is utter nonsense. In winter, one consumes more electricity than any other time, so who's to tell me I cannot buy twice if I am willing to do so? My question now is who approved a system that cheats people like this? And the money charged, where does it go to cause clearly someone is pocketing this money since I was told I am not the only one to complain about this. Why is it then these prepaid meters are still being forcefully implemented on people? Then Eskom has the nerve to tell their employees that there is no money to pay them. This entire system needs to be reviewed or discontinued by the energy regulator or DPE Minister. We cannot continue to be losing our hard earned money on greedy and senseless people.
