Inhumane treatment from Eskom

Our electricity was disconnected and we have been to the eskom offices in vereeniging to make a payment arrangement. We were told we should pay 60% of the total account otherwise they will not reconnect us. The manager Mr Bakane said that he had a client and had t go and was nothing that he could do and we must make the full payment. Dispite trying to explain that my husband is on a nebuliser as he is COPD and is outve work for the past 5 years due to health reasons and being hospitilised many times. Disgusted and disappointed at their response we went to the customer care in Bramfontein we spoke to Susan Smith who said that Eskom is not a financial institution and i should go to the bank and take a loan to pay the account. We offered to make an immediate payment of R2000 to which she wasnt interested. I cannot take out another loan as i can barely put food on the table. I nèed someone to get back t me as i have a sick husband and a 2 month old granddaughter to see to. Is this how eskom treats human beings who are in helpless situations?? Im traumatised at the responses i recieved from eskoms managers. Heartless people. Contact me on ***
