I'm paying Eskom workers to do their tasks which they are recieving a salary for

I'm a pensioner from Cape Town and had my electricity disconnected because of arrears. I had to take money from my living annuity to pay for the arrears, the monthly electricity costs and the reconnection fee which was R6157. The last actual reading Eskom did was in August 2025 and they have been estimating ever since. Now I received the latest account and it's over R3000 which includes R1008 the for hours worked for reconnection. So my concern is, I paid the reconnection fee and now I have to foot the bill for them coming out to reconnect the electricity? Which is once again going to put me into arrears.
