Formal Complaint

I just want to lodge a formal complaint against Eskom: Eastern Region – Reference Number: ********** 16.

On the 9th February 2018 I had made an application for new electricity connection for blocks of flats that I was erecting in Newcastle (Madadeni), I was give reference number ********** 16.

I have filled necessary forms and paid the amount requested, I was told that it will take 3 months and tomorrow the 9th May is exactly 3 months. But I have not heard anything from Eskom, I have called their number on various occasions (***), every time I am told that my issue will be escalated to regional office and they will call me back and this never happened, my emails go unanswered (see attached).

My plea from Eskom is to tell me when they will supply me with power as I have standing building without power and I am servicing a debt I borrowed to build this block of flats. I have tenants awaiting to take occupation but this can’t happen until the building is electrified.

Can Eskom please give me an estimation when they will power my business so that I can streamline my plans according to their date.
