fault on eskom power box

I contacted eskom on 25.09.2016 reporting that there was sparks on the outside line from the box to our house and the power had gone off either the day before or 2 days before already since all my freezers were defrosted by the time I got home from a weekend away. They promised someone will come out and check. someone did come about 4 hours later - stood outside - looked up at the pole and said there is nothing they can do till morning.

Morning of 26.9.2016 came and no one pitched up - when i got home from work my kids nanny informed me that she had been keeping an eye out all day and no one came. then I phoned again and got a 2nd reference for my call (which was now logged URGENT) - no one came again till i made another call - and i got the same story (ehh sorry mam but we dont have a vehicle with the ladder for this pole because this pole is old) when I asked about the vehicle and where this so called vehicle is i was told that it is at the substation repairing a blown transmitter. I then asked - but can no other technician use that vehicle then and come sort this out as we are now at day 4 of no electricity...

I was told no they cant and that this will be his very first call in the morning to come and fix ...

I had just made my 4th phonecall to eskom call center and we are now on 27.9.2016 and day 5 of no electricity.

Now to top it all : their feedback after each call which they logged on the system:

1st call on sunday : they said they had repaired and resolved teh problem - they did not touch anything - they stood outside the vehicle - looked at the pole and made their diagnosis and left after promising it will get sorted the next day

after the 3rd call: he promised again the next day - my nanny is home all day and she is sitting in a deathly quiet home so impossible not to hear if someone calls - their report states that they are unable to enter the premises - I LEFT THE GATE STANDING OPEN especially for them so that they can get in when they get there.

They also have my contact details - I had not had a single call from them since sunday

4th call now logged after I had to start throwing out over R6000 worth of meat that has turned warm in the freezer and started smelling whilst I hope that the rest just holds till it is sorted and yet to hear back from them
