Failure to read meters for 8 months, Manager refusing to communicate, threats to disconnect my services

My account no: ********** 593, Name: Mrs Noxolo Mthembu. I received an account of R13857, 65 in October. Upon inquiry I spoke to Kholeka who told me that Eskom did not do readings for 8 months and they have been charging me based on estimates. i paid R2000 towards the account . I was not satisfied with that explanation and I spoke to Mr David Kekana whose name is displayed incase one is not satisfied with their quiery. Mr Kekana responded agreeing with Kholeka. I then requested to meet with him as I am still unsatisfied with the figures and the fact that I must be responsible to pay money that I never planned to owe. I wrote two emails to Mr Kekana reqiesting a meeting , but he has not responded. Yesterday I received a notice that I must pay close to R11000, Otherwise my services will be disconnected. I called their call centre , I had to wait for 30 minutes and the airtime I had got finished. I then used an SMS Service that is provided by the automated voice whilst waiting to be transfered to a consultant. I have not received a response. My concerns: 1. I am a customer utilising an essential service of Eskom. 2. I have loyally paid my account and I have never owed Eskom for once. 3. It is Eskom's responsibility to make sure that consumers are billed correctly to avoid having to put heavy burdens o heavy payments due to incorrect readings or failure to read the meters. 4. I am an average South African who aims at managing my financial affairs to avoid owing which will result in demands by those I owe. As much as Eskom claims that it is my responsibility to send them correct readings , I believe that this is the service I am paying for and I am have a right to full service including having my meters read by Eskom. 5. I do not posses that s**** to read meters , hence I a relying on Eskom all these years. 6. I do not have R13857, 65 , that is waiting somewhere to pay unneccessary debts. 7. I believe Eskom is not interested in the economic/ financial welfare of those they service, hence non reading of meters as part of their job. My requests: 1. I would like the senior member of Eskom staff to be in contact with me and give proper explonation of the figures they give me. 2. I am requesting an amicable agreement between me and Eskom bearing in mind that I do not have the money to pay them. 3. I am in no agreement with them to disconnect my electricity as this is not my fault. 4. The call centre can have more agents to serve their customers better, not having customers use a lot of money just to call them. 5. Please assist , facilitate the process of communication and resolution of this issue before Eskom disconnects my electricity.
