Eskom unilaterally changing deposit fees already paid by 4.3 x amount during hard times on small businesses
In a time when Covid restrictions and regulations put small business in a threat to close there doors and lay off there staff, adding to the high unemployment figures we are currently sitting with.
Eskom decides unilaterally, without any informing our business, that they no longer are happy with the R6000 deposit fee asked by them 6 years ago but instead now require R26000 deposit, 4.3 x the original amount and informing us with account of a outstanding balance of R30 000+ that needs immediate payment.
I ask how can a company treat, a customer that has never missed monthly payments, in a time when businesses are struggling to stay a float and try there best to pay there staff so they may provide for there families?
No information or discussion prier, just unilaterally change there terms and adding unreasonable amounts, forcing businesses to either pay or close there doors, putting there staff and there families in the cold of winter.
disappointing...
