Eskom Sucks Pensioners DRY

I have previously put in a complaint, but it seems that the accounts or people who are in charge to look at the situation does not ever care to actually do something about it.

My mother is 70 years old and is really selling everything she has just to pay the Eskom account. She is one person living on a plot, and an account of over R7000.00 really does not make sense, she has app**** for pensioner rates, and was denied? Why is she denied? My father passed away 4 years ago and permanently moved to the farm as it has been paid off. I find it rediculous that an eldery person is litteraly sucked dry to the bone and denied pensioners rates without any clear reason as to why. She lives alone, there are not even heaters running in the house, or the stove as she makes use of a small gas stove to make food.

I dont understand how no one looks at this, and does not even make an effort to reply or even try and help her in any way.
