Eskom *****s pre paid meter units
My Hexing pre paid meter takes units of my meter without usage. My 2 neighbors next to me have the same problem. Is this Eskom *****ing? More than likely.

13 Apr 2026, 10:22The HXE115-KP has physical sensors that detect if the meter's main cover or terminal cover is opened . The specifications explicitly state that "The relay will be disconnected for ***** protection once it detects the cover open and terminal cover open events" .
- How it happens: A sudden power dip or surge can sometimes cause a momentary electrical glitch. The meter's internal sensor might misinterpret this as someone tampering with the cover or the wiring terminals. In response, the meter activates its ***** protection, disconnects the relay (turning off power), and deducts credit as a penalty before resetting.
