Eskom repairing a faulty cable for over 24 hours

I live in Sunninghill in a complex called Serengeti Sands.

Our electricity was shut down from 11 am yesterday, 2 January 2019 until now ( it is now 3 January 2019 and it's 13:55)

Our entire complex has been without power for more than 24 hours.

When our Estate Manager calls Eskom in the hopes of getting an update as to when this issue will be resolved, no estimated time frame is provided. The only feedback provided is that they are working on it.

This lack of proper feedback is pathetic. Surely Eskom should have a responsibility to provide proper feedback to their customers in events of prolonged power outages. Thus is clearly not the case as they have no interest in being proactive.

I attempted to phone Eskom but I was placed in a queue and after a good couple of minutes I was forced to hang up.

I have sent an email to Eskom customer care.

In conclusion, this is pathetic service and I feel like I am paying a company electricity charges for nothing. In my view, Eskom has become extremely inefficient and complacent!
