Eskom HR is absolutely disgusting!

I am extremely disgusted, disturbed and disappointed by Eskom HR, specifically Phumeza Ndyumbu!!!

My father worked at Eskom for 25 years and passed on holding the position HV Plant Manager.

Upon the death of my father , Phumeza (HR) contacted me and advised me that I am a beneficiary for Group Life Managers benefit.

It's been a year and 2 months since the passing of my dad. I have made numerous follow ups, tried to get information from Phumeza, I have called her, emailed her on numerous occasions throughout last year and even this year. I have sent her numerous messages, even a WhatsApp her to kindly respond to my email and she goes online and blantly ignores me.

I am now at Eskom Megawatt Park(Head Office) to try and get assistance, and there's literally no one to assist here.

I am now starting to ask myself, is this how Eskom HR treats families of their employees upon death.

I stand at this point with no information or direction as to what's going on, is there anything needed on my side.

I am just in the dark, I was supposed to be continuing with my education and now 2 years have gone to waste. My life is at a standstill, I'm loosing everything from my car to everything.

I have to go stand in the streets, beg to make ends meet, while my father was a manager at such a reputable institution-Eskom.

How disgusting is this? My life is torn into pieces, one from my father's death and two by the treatment I have received by Eskom HR.

I just don't understand why as an HR she would not respond, is it perhaps something personal? I sincerely don't know.

This review is not intended tarnish anyone's reputation, but it is to voice out the pain I have been feeling and holding inside my heart.
