Sadly one has to give a star for the review process. If it was possible I would have given Eskom no star at all as it does not deserve as much. What with all the lying, *****ing, cheating and nonsense excuses to try and hide thievery and incompetence going on... Eskom is bringing an ENTIRE COUNTY to it's knees! Us, the consumers, are told to not use what we are starting to pay through the nose for! Why should we continue paying for a service which we aren't receiving?! Utter *******. One of the first excuses was that the electricity in the country has become insufficient as the population has grown... Did you not think to perhaps continue developing, updating and growing your infrastructure as one should do? Did you seriously think that the growing population of South Africa would not need more electricity? The most laughable of excuses was that the coal needed to generate electricity was wet... And let us not forget the nonsense about a faulty chimney stack! Oh and when they talk about "unplanned breakdowns": WHEN IS A BREAKDOWN EVER PLANNED YOU IDIOTS?! And the constant diesel shortages: stop *****ing the diesel then! It is not meant for that fancy turbo-diesel car which you purchased with your ludicrous "performance bonus", IT IS MEANT TO BE USED TO GENERATE ELECTRICITY FOR THE COUNTRY!! Speaking of performance bonuses: how on earth can any of you justify the ridiculous bonuses that you receive each year if you aren't performing satisfactorily at your jobs? You do not deserve those bonuses! You aren't performing! I work myself into a nervous breakdown each year for the last 8 years: I deserve my December bonuses. None of the people in authority positions at Eskom deserve theirs. In fact, they should all be demoted and get drastic pay cuts until they start performing properly at their jobs. Do you idiots at Eskom have any idea what you are costing not only individuals such as I in the country, but insurance companies also? I was "lucky": my insurance replaced "only" my washing machine which had broken due to constant load shedding, my television which had broken due to constant load shedding and my refrigerator which had broken due to load shedding (at that instance my daughter was maybe two weeks old, we lost a lot of very important milk which had gone off because it could not be frozen anymore). Luckily all had been replaced. How long though do you cretins think it is going to take until insurance companies are going to cease paying for such replacements as they are going to start running the risk of going bankrupt? Who will then replace my washing machine (R7,000) should it break again due to load shedding? Is Eskom going to replace it as they are the cause thereof? Who will replace my refrigerator (R7,000) should it break again due to load shedding? Eskom? Who will replace my television (R6,000) should it break again due to load shedding? Eskom? That is only in my house... Do you idiots have any idea how much financial losses you have caused?! I have a nebulizer at home which I have to use in the case of an asthma attack, it works with electricity. Should I get an attack during load shedding I can very possibly die as an asthma attack can increase in severity very quickly. Who is then going to take responsibility for making my wife a widow and cause my daughter to grow up without her dad? Will you at Eskom take that responsibility? Eskom management and their cronies are the people responsible for the crisis in which the country finds itself. Nobody else. Had you at Eskom merely continued with routine maintenance and infrastructure investment and development through the years instead of pilfering money, diesel and materials there would not have been the problems that the ENTIRE country is facing and struggling with now. You would have deserved your ridiculous bonuses, which is not even remotely the case now. How do you plan on fixing the problems before it completely cripples the country? As it seems now Eskom is beyond saving, I do not envy the poor current CEO his job. I hope you all are proud about what you have achieved: destruction of a world-class power company which at one stage generated TOO MUCH electricity; the financial destruction of many small businesses; irreparable damage to personal property which people had worked very hard to be able to afford; concerns and fears for the safety of patients at certain state hospitals that do not have generators; just to name a few. I hope that you are happy and proud. Well done you fools, well done.
