Eishkom
In February i went to Eskom as we had just bought a new house to have our pre paid meter activated. We had the prepaid meter equipment already installed in our house from the previous owner. I was told by Eskom that in order to activate our prepaid meter we had to first open an Eskom account and then a month later only could we swap over to prepaid. I then had to pay a R3500 deposit upfront else my electricity would not be connected or put into my name, It took Eskom 3 further months to swap me over to prepaid after having filled in all the paperwork. At the beginning of May we were then sawped over to prepaid. I then processed the refund forms on the 22May . It is now the 3rd July and i still have no refund in my account!!! I find this most appalling that i am expected to pay my deposit up front and yet Eskom can take 6-8 weeks!!! This is not acceptable , disgusting to say the very least.
