I'm truly disgusted in this power utility. Every year our tax money are being used for bailouts to fix their well known financial difficulties. When it comes to services their saving graces are treated like nothing. For countless times our community suffers in darkness. Once again cables were ****** on one of the surrounding farms in the Stellenbosch area. This was around 02h00 this morning 12 November 2021. At around 09h40 the repair team started their work. The team leader told the farmer that the problem will be solved tomorrow 13th November 2021 during the afternoon. We at a settlement for war veterans must bear the brunt of this **************. Whenever disruptions occur within the area we suffers. Our electricity are always the last to be restored. There are no such thing as repairs within 12 hours. That ruling seems to only work for certain sectors within this country. Every second month, or sometimes more than twice a month, we must dispense of our food stuffs. No apology nor compensation, because we are not from the preferred or rich areas. This is what we as a community have to deal with. Whether you are on a ventilator, or having a baby this power utility just don't care. Will escom compensate us for the losses? This is the million dollar question. Will it once again be brushed under the carpet?
