Dear Eskom. 2 Years ago a meter reader came to my fathers farm and took the reading, he said that the meter is faulty and he wil come back to install a new one. He never came back... Yesterday a man from Eskom came again to take the reading. (2 years later!) He opened the box and said that the meter has been tampered with (the Eskom man from 2 years ago broke the seals). This man then told my father that he must pay a fine of R16 000, switched the electricity off and left. My dad tried to explain to him that he has been paying his bill for 14 years and that they are wrongfully accusing him. The man was very rude and left. My dad went and paid the R16 000, because he is a busy man and does not have time to argue. Today the electricity is still not put back on and he has phoned numerous times. I feel my dad has been taken for a ride, and this type of thing is not only happening to him but to many South Africans. Is there someone that can help the voiceless of this forsaken land?
