Damage to electrical eqiupment due to power outages.

<p>I am a selfemployed web designer and graphics and as such I spend a lot of time on my computer.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have over the last 10 years done 4 terrabytes of designs.</p> <p> </p> <p>Now because I am self employed I have good months and bad months of income, as such I can't really afford insurance on these items because of my cash follow.</p> <p> </p> <p>Now on 2017-06-11 there was a power outage, when the power came back on my hard drive picked up niddle and head damage and I lost all my data, Pc screen, dvd-rom and keyboard was broken and fried.</p> <p> </p> <p>I check on a lot of sites via google and also asked computer shops what would be the cause of this and all mentioned sources come to the same conclusion it is damaged cause by power outage and power spike when the power comes back on, Hey nice one Eskom for a company that works with power and electrical eqiupment you would think that they would have some basic knowledge on what happens to electrical devieces with spinning parts at high rpm if the power goes out and what happens to electro magents when the power spike when turned on.</p> <p> </p> <p>Eskom if you are reading this I can give you a lot of contact information of people who can train your workers in the electric field and if they need a national qualification which I assume they don't have as above mentioned they would also be able to train your subcontractors.</p> <p> </p> <p>Now as far as I understand arrording to eskom you need insurance to claim back from damages like this.</p> <p>that is also said if they actually look at the claim forms.</p> <p> </p> <p>Which is utter ****, as it is eksom who supplies the power in South Africa and they already ****ing people with the prices they charge, as a consumer surely I have a the right to be compensated for these damages. </p> <p> </p> <p>Eskom please feel frre to contact me regarding this issue</p> <p> ********** 028</p> ********** <p> </p> <p>Att Ernest</p> <p> </p>
