Claim for damaged goods
See below ticket numbers logged with Eskom: ************35113 On Friday the 5th of November 2021, the electricity poles fell on the ground due to the storm that took place on that day in Mpumalanga, Nkomazi, Schulzendal. We logged a request with Eskom to correct this and they said it will only take 2 hours since it's an emergency request but it took Eskom more than 72hours to mount back the poles and restore power. When the power was restored, the volts sent to our house were 405 Volts which was determined by an electrician and resulted in the following: Damaging electric sockets for our entire house. Damaging electric motors for the garage doors, as we speak they are no longer working and they are brand new (they were installed on the 26 October 2021). All globes burst into pieces (inside and outside the house). Fridges damaged due to the high voltage, no longer working. Kettles damaged due to the high voltage. Charges and phones damaged, no longer working. Power surge supply did burn due to this The house was at a real state of being burnt down due to this. The service delivery of Eskom is the worst ever.
The intention of this review is to get attention from Eskom so that they help us claim back the money for the damaged goods.
