Appauling service by Eskom

Our area Luxeni A/A Mthatha has been without electricity since the 17th November, following a storm/disaster . What makes the situation worse is that cables are lying around on the ground which is very dangerous. Eskom does not seem to see this as an emergency at all.

We have been trying to report the matter since 17/11/2020 and have received no assistance at all from Eskom .

Upon further follow up we were informed that the issue was getting the attention of Management and will be sorted out soon. Last week we were informed that there is shortage of staff and no material to fix the damage . At this rate it is obvius that we will be spending the entire December without electricity . The area is serviced by Mthatha North . No one has come to view the area to at least remove the cables lying around or to provide any kind of feedback .
