3 FULL days and counting WITHOUT ELECTRICITY

We at Mmabatho (NORTH WEST PROVINCE), specifically in unit 6 have now been without power for the 3rd day, and honestly, are feeling violated by this. When we found out the root cause, it was discovered that someone tampered with the Transformer.

An Eskom friend had a technician sent out. They looked at the substation transformer. It was vandalized by someone purposefully by sawing into the oil fins on the backside and causing oil loss. This subsequently damaged the transformer. It needs to be replaced. They do not have a replacement in Mafikeng. They are looking elsewhere. Once one is found then it needs to be transported here and then installed. We should apparently expect a few to several days outage!!!!!!!. WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS ESKOM????

The current status is that they sourced a new transformer. They are not sure where it is. Apparently finding a suitable truck to transport it is a challenge to them. (you would think Eskom would have suitable trucks????)

So, now they are working on transport!!!!!!!!!

We are now stuck with rotten food because ESKOM is just being it's true self ASS'KOM!!!!!!! Our daily lives have been interrupted. Our parents are on chronic medication and they have to suffer at the slow rate of progress from ASS'KOM.

Can we be afforded the right to dignity!!!!!!!!
