used gym for less than a month now i must R19000

i joined escape gym used the facility for less than a month after 6-7 years i receive an e-mail saying i owe the gym R19000 when i signed up and my contract was explained to me i was never told if you don't use the facilities you would still be charged. I will not pay for something i never used! Handed me over to creditworx and i receive and e-mail today saying despite the communications they had with me i failed to make arrangements to pay i want to know what communications did this company have with me ??? What is the swiping facility for i never even received the escape card so i am sure that someone is aware that is wasn't using the facility.
