Sales consultants need to Stop misleading

I have been a memeber of the Escape Cresent for three years and my contract had come to an end .Then after is stoped using the gym completely.June this year , i was stopped by a Sales consultant of Escape gym at Phoenix plaza and was offered a new contract.So i was not really interested because i was awaiting for my job in Johannesburg.The sales consultant then told me its fine you cancel anytime and He handed over to another consultant Named Malla which adviced me the same that it is a month to month contract and cancel with out any cancellation fee .The first month was free and only stArt paying at the end of August.On July 10th i had gotten confirmation that i need to relocate to Johannesburg.I then made numerous attempts to the gym to cancell ,but Every time the manager was not there .I even made several calls to HR and admin but nobody assisted me. I even took my letter of employment to the sales consultant .After 3 weeks the manager called and said to cancell i must pay 50 percent of the contract.And i explained him exactly what had happened and im relocating to Johannesburg.So i refused to pay .Now it has been just 4 payments which i never pay and the gym had handed me over and now i have to pay R12 000 .Why is Escape gym scheming people for money . R12000 for what ? Free money .
