Bad Service by ES Motor Clinic in Randfontein

The car was booked in for a normal service it was due to go at 120 000km but because there was a trip to Venda approaching we wanted to take it in prior to that. When the car was booked in it was in good running condition , there was nothing wrong with the vehicle.

When the workshop called for collection we went through and immediately upon leaving the workshop , we noticed that the car was misfiring (less than 2km’s away) u-turn was made and took back the car .

The owner of the workshop took the car for a drive twice to try and determine what the problem was and said that the miss firing is due to dirt in the fuel that got into the car and that the cars fuel tank had to be cleaned out , and we should at a later stage bring the car back so that the fuel tank can be cleaned out .

No attempt to try and see what the problem was beside the “fuel tank” issue was attempted .

The car went in for service on the 13th of May and on the 26th of May (with the issue of misfiring still happening ) about 100km outside of Polokwane the car lost power and started showing the EPC light and the Engine emission light when on .

We forced the car so that we could arrive at our destination and on the 27th we got a tow truck to tow the car to VW in Louis Trichardt from our location was in Venda +/- 45 min drive (the invoice attached will show the parts that they replaced)

From the VW Louis Trichardt we were informed that pirate parts where used (We did not pay nor agree on pirate parts to be used) and that the bougi cord was torn and he used insulation tape to put it back together (please see attached pictures on parts that were removed by VW Louis Trichardt )

On the 30th of May upon our return we took the invoice and the replaced parts to them and reiterated the whole inconvenience to him and only got refunded R307.00 after everything

After everything he still feels that our inconvenience is not entitled and was rude towards us coming to him to complain.

They furture go on to say that they are RMI approved for and they are only RMI for Panel beating
