The incidences occurred over a period of months. The business I am currently in is namely transportation, therefore my main income and only income is from the transportation of goods and delivering a service. The vehicle I use for generating an income would be a truck but since March 2018 the truck has been in for repairs on a monthly basis. The company in question first towed the truck into their premises in March and repaired everything they diagnosed was wrong with the truck. They then according to them fixed the problem. In April again the truck had been taken in for another repair job, everytime it happens to be something else as per diagnostic from them. According to the company they had worked on everything that they had diagnosed to be wrong. The worst part is that the truck works for a two day period and then something breaks. They expect payment after every job is completed. Then in May and June the same scenario occurred something breaks and the truck stands. The truck since March has worked for just 10 days for the seven months that the truck has been in repairs with Errol’s Airbrake & Clutch(EAC) Workshop. They are allegedly truck specialist but for all these months they cannot point the actual problem with the truck, they have touched all parts of the truck. And every month the bill gets sent with cost for parts and labour for different, various items they have worked on. I understand that they a business and have to charge, but surely there is a law against being ********** by a business where they worked on things using there mechanics I believe is not qualified to work on these trucks and now charging me for the work already paid for meaning duplicated payments are being requested for labour that should be guaranteed under the law of maintenance. Work being done has a standing guarantee but yet I am being charged over and above what the required payments are.

I am questioning the work they have done since the mechanic that had worked on the truck for months is not a qualified diesel mechanic, this I only found out recently and there have been months he solely worked on my truck and now I question what I had paid this workshop for. They in my view should repair the truck and give a 6 month guarantee on all work done by their workshop from the start to now and make sure should any problems occur they will cover or incur the cost. They should also cover the cost of the what has been done currently since I have lost 4 months of income. The fact of the matter is that they stated they fixed everything and then the truck breaks right after that, I am aware of wear and tear, but holding someone’s income hostage is sabotage to ones business. I also believe they stated they will get as much money out of me as they can, therefore I think they are clearly a bunch of *******. I believe that I would never have gone to this length but the truck has currently been with EAC for three months therefore my company has lost almost R200 000 because of this holdup. What I also found strange is that I had to buy parts for the truck on numerous occasions because they do not deal with Volvo therefore also alerting me to the fact that this is then strange for a workshop to work on trucks but when it came to parts the Client is liable.

I request that this company be blacklisted as a reputable workshop working on trucks, my view is that they might just be mere car mechanics that work on these premises. I would like the company to s**** the duplicate payments requested and the over inflated amounts for labour.

Here is what the day to day tasks for a qualified diesel mechanic would be. Truck mechanics, also known as diesel services technicians and mechanics, perform a variety of tasks on heavy-duty trucks, large construction vehicles, buses and tractor trailers. They inspect, diagnose and repair brake systems, engines, electrical components, steering systems, transmissions and tires. Dealership(meaning various brands) diagnostic experience, experience working with multi brands is what a workshop like this should have but I doubt.
