Agent insisted seller to hand over the keys before property being registered

The estate agent Kayleigh from ERA has sold the house for me. However, although the property has not yet been registered in the name of buyer, Kayleigh requested that me to hand over the keys to her. She further insisted that I must do so because I have signed the contract. I have therefore consulted with my conveyancer and she confirmed that I am not obliged to hand over the keys to her or the buyer prior to the registration. It is shocking how ********* the estate agent is. I felt so intimidated and helpless over the engagement with her.
