Useless Dr

To say We’re disgusted in the service of Dr. Mthimunye in the casualties depart of Netcare Alberlito is an understatement!

We arrived after 9pm with a screaming baby who had earlier in the day been diagnosed with middle ear infection by a GP in Ballito. We had given her all the meds we could but she was still screaming in agony which resulted in us taking her in, the nurses were INCREDIBLE! They blew up a glove drew a picture on it and tried their best to entertain her! We waited for over an hour which is okay but when Dr Mthimunye arrived she leaned on a table and made no interest to even read Sierras chart to see what meds we had given her or what was wrong. She didn’t bother to check her ears, her pulse, her glands, her blood pressure infact she checked absolutely NOTHING not even her temp even though we told her Sierra had a fever! Instead she sent us home and did nothing.

I am a first time mom and the least you could do since we’re PAYING you is to check her vitals or reassure me that everything will be okay as well that’s what we’re paying for isn’t it? A service? Needles to say we got home and her temp was 39.5 thanks doc! We were charged over R600 for a Dr who can’t even bother to read a chart or check a temperature.

Not only would we like a refund for the Drs useless service but we feel that we deserve an apology letter from an *********** Dr who took an oath to protect the lives of patients but didn’t follow through on that!

I have taken this post to all social media platforms as my husband is in the public eye and has a substantial amount of followers. I have also reported your dr to the medical board
