Terrible accounting practices
Reading the previous reviews it seems that we have been sucked into the same hell hole with ER Consulting as many others. In almost an identical scenario as others have experienced- my husband went in for a minor issue at Sandton Mediclinic. Drs Holts & Partners took our medical aid details and stated that the invoice would be sent directly to Profmed. The treatment was on the 16th of February, towards the end of February we started receiving notices for payment directly, despite the invoice having gone to Profmed. I checked in with Profmed and they confirmed that they had received and paid the invoice on the 28th February and the updated statement from them reflected the same. To my surprise we received an angry call from ER Consulting demanding settlement two weeks later of the same invoice. I forwarded ER Consulting the Profmed statement and their response was that there's no remittance from Profmed. Today I received a final demand notice. Profmed has shared all the details of the successful payment to ER Consulting on the 28th February. All I get told from ER Consulting is that there is no payment so I must pay. This makes me think that either there is a internal **** happening in ER Consulting, or they are committing ***** by charging both client and medical aid, or their accounting systems are the problem. Whatever it is, I hope Dr Holts and Partners are aware of the liability this firm is placing on them. ER Consulting, please escalate this matter and revert to my email I sent to your accounts department today (2nd April, 2025).
