ER Consulting overcharges
The cost of going to the ER at the Umhlanga hospital is exorbitant. My husband had a high fever, he was given profalgin by a GP and sent home. That cost us R3800. R1580 for the hospital and R1900 for the doctor. It is sad to see how a medical emergency can be used by ER consulting to make money from desperate people.
