ER Consult makes double the money on one consultation!

My 79-year-old father was forced to go through the Emergency room By ARWYP hospital, ( Job creation in my personal opinion) there have been explanations as to why they do this but none make sense.

ER Consult managed that emergency, they were poor and it took about an hour and a half to get him into the hospital after the GP and Specialist attending to my father decided that he should be admitted hours before.

My Mother is 70 years old and emails were sent to her but she had no idea as they have medical aid and assumed all is well. So they were handed over for the R 900 consultation fee. (Which shouldn't have happened in the first place).

The Nudebt added a whopping R600 rand to that account over the 2 months from mid-March to mid-May, that they were collecting this debt.

This is when I found out and started looking into this matter. The Medical Aid paid ER Consulting in Feb 2024 but they still handed us over for the full amount. This amount was paid to the debt collectors in May. I have now spoken to two people at ER Consult, one who was going to escalate and the other who confirmed that the case was closed on their side, but was going to get a manager to call me. Nothing happened, so ER Consult Received the money from the Medical aid and the debt collectors, the debt collectors received their cut, and in my opinion, the hospital also gets a cut.

So be aware of this method of operating, because it causes severe stress on the old folks and takes a heck of an effort administratively to get nowhere.
