My husband of 74 was rushed by ambulance to Sunward Hospital Emergency after being Pistol whipped following a 2pm home invasion by 3 BM. He needed 5 stitches & 2 other wounds from a knife sorted. He was under the impression that it would be paid in full out of hospital cover. He told them he was a SASSA pensioner & could not afford shortfalls. He has now be billed for R500 shortfall which we absolutely cannot pay. MA paid scheme rates which was half the cost. Why are we being ********** by these so called life savers. If you were on an accident & could not speak would they still rip you off. He could have gone to our GP & it would be paid in full.
