Demeaned by debt collecting agency appointed by ER Consulting Inc due to no fault of my own.

I was treated at Cape Town Medic Clinic in August 2022. The Doctor who treated me (was very professional) and was contracted by ER Consulting Inc. I made payment of all accounts provided to me after the consultation.

Following this, I have not received any further correspondence or accounts and to my mind the matter has been settled. In March 2023 I was contacted by a debt collecting company called NuDebt via SMS which stated that my credit score would be affected if I do not make immediate payment of an outstanding account. I contacted NuDebt telephonically and they advised that ER Consulting Inc did not provide my contact details to them and therefore they were not able to contact me earlier.

I contacted ER Consulting Inc telephonically and escalated the matter to *** and no helpful feedback could be given to understand what led to this situation. It seems like minimal effort was done from ER Consulting Inc to contact me to resolve the issue.

In my opinion, this treatment of a client is not only unfair but furthermore truly upsetting. Should I have been contacted either telephonically or via email by a representative of ER Consulting Inc, I would have settled the outstanding amount immediately and there would not have been a need to refer the matter to NuDebt.

I furthermore found NuDebts approach threating and demeaning.

In the future, clients must be treated far better than this!
