EPS Systems - pushy, arrogant sales guy
I am livid. This place sends youngsters around to your house to just do a quick survey (10 questions) which will help them score points and potentially land a job. Foot is in the door. Next thing, the 10 questions continues into a brief presentation (sales pitch). Now we up to an hour visit. Then they phone their manager to come and evaluate his sales pitch (going through a mock ticking exercise on their answer sheet) - come on, like a customer wants to see this. Then the manager tries to seal a sales deal for the EPS system. BUT, it must be now, else the youngster will not score his points (tomorrow is not good enough) and it will be your fault for this youngster not getting a job. And if you have any doubts or want time to think about it, then this manager insinuates that you are unintelligent, because it's a logical deal right, and if you say no, then you are saying you don't want to save money, right.
This is apparently all endorsed and partially owned by S.A.s greatest sales coach, Francois le Roux. All that does it make me more suspicious. This kid is selling a sales strategy more than a product. They try and get you with the biggest sales trick in the book, “Logic makes people think; emotion makes people act,”. This youngster makes you feel guilty that by not buying the product, it's your fault that the guy will not land a job. In fact, at the end of the conversation, the manager actually says that straight to the young salesman, sorry guy, but you will not be getting your points because mr Customer won't buy. All the while, with a smug, arrogant look on his face.
Sad thing is, before the manager came in with his bull, I was probably going to buy the product. Now I will stay far away, even post my first Hello Peter ever. And by looking at older reviews, I see they have been using this sales trick for years already.
