Epic Fail Blacklisted Device

Bought a IPhone XS MAX from them...was blacklisted within a few days.

Kept the bricked phone in the car after I discovered it was blacklisted- was then ****** after stopping at a drive thru (writing this review in South Africa) - definitely not epics fault that I was ******.

Epic Deals says I should claim from insurance but my broker says no insurance company will cover the IPhone Epic sold me - already Blacklisted phones won't be covered.

Epic says that they need the device back because they can change the motherboard and give it back to me - discussed on a phone call with Dave.

Police say I'm trying to report an already ****** good as ****** which doesn't make sense.

Dave and Andrew don't see that they took my money and gave me something that wasn't even working (not even insurable)....they just worry about getting the ****** phone back to reuse it...

Thought I'd save R10k buying CPO instead I lost all R13k :( - I have a generic charger I guess.

Also don't be fooled by the Woodmead physical address - they refuse to meet and keep saying they're in another province (North West) and COVID is too much of a risk...

Lastly I have an email from Dave saying they need the owners ID to check if it's blocked with the mobile networks - ID copies are a basic requirement when Dealers buy 2nd hand goods and they seem to not have this in place.

Just stick to Istore - you can actually find them if you have an issue and I'm sure it won't be blacklisted after you buy it.

Hi Ashley,

Thanks for your review - I'm very surprised by the inaccuracy of many of the points you've made here and the review as a whole particularly with the offers we've made you to try and recover costs...

I will review with Dave on Monday, have a great weekend.

Kind Regards,

Andrew
