Bad Business Dealings

We bought an engine though Ensource (Dylan) from a company called Tonmax (Wynberg, JHB) in January 2017 for R36000. It was sent to us via courier. When the engine arrived it was the wrong engine. We sent it back and paid for the courier. Tonmax sent us another engine a week later. We paid for the courier. We removed the sump cover once we received the engine only to discover that the timing chain rails were lying in pieces in the sump. Once again we returned the engine and paid for the courier. Tonmax found another engine for us, however, this time we had to buy the gearbox as well (which we didn't need) because they were not prepared to sell the engine separately. This cost us an extra R9000 + R3000 courier fee. We received the other engine which looked good, fitted it (10 hours labour) and started it up. Within minutes all the engine oil had run out through the exhaust. Another bum engine. Now we were at out wits end. Tonmax did not have another engine for us but suggested sending the other broken engine back to us so that we can now build one engine out of the two dud engines. In all this time Tonmax refused to give us a refund or pay for the courier fees which has, to date, amounted to about R7000 (minimum). To sum things up: We paid for a running engine, but received two duds which we, at our cost, have to repair. Our customer is livid, to say the least and threatening to sue us. Our good business name is under threat and neither Ensource nor Tonmax gives a damn!! The worst is the constant and daily lies that we have had to endure during these 3 months of trying to sort this mess out. This is the worst kind of business ethics that we have found in a very long time.
