Preferential Treatment

This might be a general Estate Agent problem but I will ask since it was this agency and another that I have had the same problem with.

Are your agents deliberately setting aside homes for certain clients? My partner and I are at our wits end because a property we want, we qualify for, that is being mandated by a bank and is deemed available is being made unavailable for viewing with contradicting stories from the different agents as into why we can't view. Agent from E n V states owner withdrew the property and has found a tenant. Agent from Agency number 2 claims an offer has been put down and is waiting approval. Bank confirms this but says it's still a free for all and there is no reason why we are not being allowed to view and put down our offer. This is frustrating as we can't figure out who is fooling who.
