Engel&Volkers- Property- Please do not make business with these guys

Hi All, I bought a property at midrand through engel and volkers and from the day I am dealing with them is definitely not a bed of roses, but a bed of thorns.

They have staff that are not experienced in the field and they know nothing about what needs to be done when you sell a property.

To start 1. we moved to the house in Sept2018 and after a month we got notice from the HOA stating they do not have occupancy certificate and if we do not provide them then we have to vacate the place. Till now we do not have occupancy certificate. 2. There are 3 other houses next to me and for all the houses water runs from the house that we are not aware of 3. People started moving to those houses from October2018. And I got a whooping bill of 37,000 rands water bill. 4. I communicated sametime to the builders about the issue. 5. Without my consent and without solving the original problem, they stepped in my property and seperated the water connection to the other units in Feb2019. 6. In march I got another whooping bill for 51,000 7. COJ disconnected the water on 13-Mar-19 and I have been sending mails to the builders and their attorneys to solve the issue which apparently they did not leaving me to suffer 8. I have 2 children and I had no place to stay as there is no water and I had suffered the whole week. 9. My husband went to COJ and had to pay 14,000 on 15-Mar-19 and we got the water back on 18-March-2019.

From day one the builders gave me and my family so much mental stress. Why should my children suffer because of someone else's fault.

Till now the issue is not fixed and I do not want to pay for someone else's fault.
