We contacted Engel & Volkers Lonehill to find us a tenant for our property. They advised us that they found a tenant and that they had conducted a full credit check on the tenant. They also sent us the Lease Agreement for our signature. We were not happy with some of the clauses in the Lease Agreement and made changes to the Lease Agreement and signed the Lease Agreement subject to the changes made. They promised us in writing that they would get the tenant to sign next to the amendments and on this basis we allowed the tenant to move into our property. What a mistake that was. Till now they have still not given us a fully executed Lease Agreement. Worst, they did not do a thorough credit check on the tenant as the tenant has now defaulted on the first months rent and wants to renegotiate payment dates. The tenant also says he does not have a copy of the signed Lease Agreement. Given our nightmare of an experience with Engel & Volkers Lonehill, I would never use them again and would advise everyone not to use them as well.
