Energizer South Africa

I bought energizer rechargeable batteries it's not even a year old . It was for a xbox one remote the batteries leaked in the remote and burned a hole through it . Energizer said they will send a courier to pick it up . Now they saying the batteries were being charged in the the remote which they were not. Now they say my charging plug is bent which it was not when I sent it don't know if got damaged in the courier company the sent to pick it up. Now they saying they will send me a new battery pack but the they can not replace the the remote . I want to know what test they did to prove that thoery.
