Defamation of Character and poor customer service

Deserve a negative star rating due to gossiping in Hindi about us while we were in the store and making terrible judgments of customers which constitutes as Defamation of character. Recently posted the below on a google review: Take your money elsewhere ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A BRIDE. I went to a few stores in and around Gateway for bridal outfits. This place had salespeople with BAD attitudes. When I walked in I told them what I was looking for and my budget yet they repeatedly showed me outfits that were ridiculously priced and not what i wanted. As upon leaving they looked upset because we didn't purchase anything (they literally had nothing i liked). The manager and the sales lady then proceeded to say in Hindi “these people have no money”. Little did they know that we understood Hindi. Extremely disrespectful and judgemental. The Raj in Gateway mall is cheaper, friendlier and has a much better variety.

Their response on Google: Thank you for your feedback At Enens we pride ourselves in great customer care. I do apologise for the experience you have had. You were assisted by one of our most experienced sales consultants. We do try and display our collection as best we can according to the customers requirements. The sales consultant attempted to show you garments that she thought you would like. It is her duty to show them to you, without any obligation to purchase. It was mentioned that there were items to your liking as per your positive comments which is why she continued to show you our collection (please note at this point i had already told the "sales person" that 2 of the outfits she had shown me was out my budget R4500 over budget to be exact). Each customers choice is different and we will not know if that is what they are looking for until we show them what we have. Our staff go out of their way to find a garment to a customers liking, with no obligation to purchase if their criteria are not met. We also provide comfortable seating in our store, which I believe was not utilized by a member of your party as she felt the floor was a better option (there was no alternative place for her to sit and if she chose to sit on the floor infront of me while i tried on the outfits i see nothing wrong, she is my brides****. She made no trouble but just wanted a closer look at the outfits to make a better judgment) Whilst we do provide a comfortable environment for our customers to shop, we also strive to provide them with the best possible service we can. Unfortunately, if you did not find something to your liking for whatever reason, we fully understand and would wish you well. No customer Is forced to purchase any garment in our store We thank you for your comment, Enens

My response: No obligation to purchase but if you don't purchase clearly they will treat you like dirt by gossiping about you, lying and attempting to find reasons to justify their pathetic service. I see no responsibility for the fact that they gossiped about us in Hindi. Did they really think we wouldn't understand? They clearly show very little remorse for this behaviour. After i had posted my review on Facebook they blocked me from their Facebook page. No consumer deserves do be treated this way. Never have I ever encountered a company with so much attitude and complete disregard for customer service.
