********** nightmare. Should be called Bewitched Guest House - not Enchanted!

<p>I moved here on Nov. 1 as the owner of the previous guest house warned everyone that there was going to be demolition and construction around her house starting Nov. 1. I told this to the owner of 'Enchanted', Ridwaan Adams, who looked me straight in the face and insisted on booking me through the busy high season so that I woud have a room. I had just immigrated from the USA with my cat, and he knew that I needed a quiet place. </p> <p>No sooner had I paid R30,000 per month until the first week in February, that he started extensive painting and construction of a room right next to my room - including the use of jackhammers, the nailing in loudly odf planks, and shouting of the workmen all day long, every day except Sundays. Every day he tells me that is the last day but then it continues the next day. He refuses to give me a refund, his excuse being that I had another room, which I wanted to leave, as the shower floor is marble-like and too slippery and treacherous. Another guest told me he almost had a fracture falling in that shower. Also, there is no wall in the shower, so that whole bathroom becomes drenched.</p> <p>His guest house is very empty in such a busy season. The appliances and fixtures are old. Most of the staff is rude and unwilling to help, e.g. if y;ou need clean towels after a week.</p> <p>I have paid so much money that I am stuck here till the first week of February. </p> <p>Can you help? He stares me straight in the face and tells me there is no noise. However I have recorded the noise and the filthy environment on my phone.</p>
