ABSOLUTELY DISSAPOINTED WITH THE ENCHANTED GARDENS (OLD AIRPORT)

On the 13/12/2019 I had an event at (the old airport) Enchanted Gardens in isipingo, which was the worse experience ever!! I had heard / read so many good reviews about the venue hence the reason booking the venue for a function. I had 110 guests for a wedding eve dinner and dance and there was no electricity and water in the bathrooms, guests left early and this was such a disappointment as there was no water to even wash their hands after dinner yet alone go to the toilet. The ceiling is falling apart, the toilets where disgusting and when we approached salosh to advise her about the electricity and aircon, she was so arrogant and rude and shouted at me infront of my guests. There was no load shedding as there was electricity in the area and her employees kept saying they are using generators due to load shedding and then it was a problem with cables in the area. From a health point of view, in my personal opinion, Enchanted gardens is a health hazard, this was the worse experience ever. When I approached Salosh to ask her about the aircon and advising the guests where feeling uneasy as it was very hot in the venue, she even had the audacity to tell me “what the hell must she do” Food was served in a dining area which was in darkness and giving the state of the venue we did not know where the food was being prepared and this also posed as a major health hazard. We had to then tell her employees to move the tables and buffet station out of the dark room and into the function venue which made it even more hot as the chaffing dishes where in the same room as the guests. The urinals in the men’s toilet was clogged and little kids could not even use the toilets and parents had to leave early due to the need of the toilet. There was kettles in the bathrooms that had to be used for washing, I mean really? How must I tell guests to use kettles to was hands and flush the toilet?? At one part the generator ran out of fuel and we where running around whilst salosh had an event downstairs and sat comfortably whilst we had endless issues in our venue. I have images of the conditions but they are so disgusting that I don’t even want to post them! She showed no remorse or respect which I feel is totally unacceptable. Her employees are totally lost as they are in the frontline while she was enjoying her own function. Being the owner/ manager of an event company how do you speak to clients like that who are paying so much for a service? They should have atleast advised me of the issues and not have waited for me to go to the venue and find the place in such conditions. There was a lot of kids and elderly people at my function and so many of my guests left early due to the need of the toilet, and clean, running water which is a basic human right!! I was absolutely embarrassed and had to apologize to my guests, thank goodness it was family and friends that was supportive and understanding.
