ELE Are **********

Hi there, my son was dismissed from his employer on the 17th June 2020 and we then approached Employment Law Experts for assistance on the 18th June 2020, there website seemed legit and professional. We completed the mandate and forward it back to them. I then did a bit more research on them and saw all these negative comments about them as well as a comment on Hello Peter from an ex employee who is a legit attorney but does not work for them any longer due to their ********* way of doing business and yet they use her name in there correspondence which she didn't authorise. On the 13th July 2020 I then immediately contacted this ELE and advised that I would like to cancel the mandate with immediately effect due to all these negative comments I read on social media. On the 13th July Michael Smith the Senior Legal advisor acknowledge the cancellation via email. On the 16th July Michael Smith from ELE again sent an email requesting that we send them documents like, employment contract, payslip etc. I then reminded him that the mandate was cancelled and we are doing things on our own and submitted the necessary application directly to the CCMA. On the 22nd August 2020 ELE sent an email again sending him a briefing for the arbitration process, I again responded and said thanks, however we do not need your help got briefing from our personal legal consultant and again reminding him and re-sending the communication whereby he acknowledged the cancellation. We did everything on our own and my son went to the CCMA conciliation on the 24th August 2020 and the settlement was not monetary but an agreement in clearing his name and receiving a good reference from the Employer. On Wednesday the 9th of September 2020, my son received an email from ELE requesting that he immediately pays R20,520 to them for two months salary. I emailed them and asked that they tell me what this is for because we didn't use their services as it was cancelled and I again sent them the correspondence. I also wanted to know where they got the R62,181 total from because according to their mandates it's no win no pay and if the client wins the case a 33% must be paid to them of the total settlement and R20,520 is 33% of the R66k. I again got no response from them. On the 12th September 2020, he again received an email from ELE asking for immediate payment of R20,520, I responded and advised them that I am going to send them a lawyers letter to stop harassing us with this invoice that they keep asking for immediate payment of R20k.
