Useless delayed luggage process

Emirates lost my luggage and for over 24 hours the only update ive been getting (only when I call) is that the bag cant be located. They don’t bother to update me unless I call, the story of how long turnaround time is changes every time I call… first it was 24 hours, next consultant said 48 and the one after that said 72. Their communication is terrible and it is beyond me how a whole airline cannot locate a huge suitcase
