O.R Tambo stuffed up

During the check-in procedure of family on their return to the U.K, personnel at the check-in counter labelled their luggage wrongly,causing my sister,husband and 3xchildren(of which the twins are 7months old) to miss their flight back home. The airport stuffed up big time,and now they are expected to pay a further R16000 for tickets. Their flight was 13:50(emerates), and up until now,they are still stuck at O.R Tambo. They were on time at the check in counter, and surveillance footage will provide clarity on the incident. O.R Tambo personnel mislabelled their luggage, causing them to miss their flight, and now they refuse to accept responsibility for their mistake by demanding payment for new return tickets.
