made us wait at dubai airport for 18 hours!

As we boarded our connecting flight to SA we realised the plane was not as full as they said to be, so before takeoff i asked the air hostess if my girlfriend could sit by the isle seat as she suffers from airplane sickness(just like car sickness or sea sickness). She then called her supervisor who then came to us and told us we could not fly the flight until my girlfriend gets clearance to fly from doctors. She is not sick at all. They then call the captain and he says we cannot fly either. So we argued that we do not have accommodation, money for food or even money to call my parents to let them know what happened. The supervisor then said we would be sorted with everything, including accommodation and another flight. After being escorted by ambulance to the airport hospital my girlfriend immediately got cleared by doctors and we were sent to book our next flight, which was an 18 hour wait. We asked if they could set us up in a hotel they said NO, they told us we were lucky they could get us on to the next flight.
