Luggage handling nightmare

I flew from Isle of man- Manchester- Dubai- Durban with Emirates, and my case ( with fragile stickers) arrived with 3 broken wheels( 2 actually **********). I had only used it once before. thank god it had a lining or my clothes would have stuck out. Surely someone should check that items arrive ok?
